Jamie Lee Curtis returns to the final battle – The Hollywood Reporter
The Halloween movie ‘Michael Myers saga is preparing for a final battle.
Upcoming horror movie title from Universal Pictures Halloween is over, in theaters October 14, released its first trailer on Tuesday. The footage promises a final showdown between Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) and frenetic Myers that will only make one of them stand.
Directed by David Gordon Green, the film also stars Andi Matichak, Will Patton, Kyle Richards, Omar Dorsey, Nick Castle and James Jude Courtney. Halloween is over set four years after last year Halloween Kills and features Laurie living with her niece Allyson (Matichak) and working on her memoir as a murder begins a new chain of horrors.
“Come get me, you bastard,” Curtis said defiantly on the spot.
Universal Pictures, Miramax and Blumhouse are behind the film, in association with Rough House Pictures. Malek Akkad, Jason Blum and Bill Block produce.
Halloween is over is the sequel Halloween Killsreleased in October 2021, after the franchise was relaunched with 2018 Halloween. The franchise got its start with the classic 1978 film Halloween from director John Carpenter.
Green teased the upcoming movie in an October interview with The Hollywood Reporter promote Halloween Kills.
“[Halloween Ends is] very different in tone from Halloween [2018] and Halloween Kills, and I think that’s part of my self-indulgence. I very often jump around genres and explore different themes and characters through the movies,” Green said at the time. “I just came up with a new ending to the ending that existed a few weeks ago, and it’s something that only I can hold in my hand the piece of paper with those words on.”
