It is the duty of cricketers to cheer on other sports: Kapil Dev | News about cricket

NEW DELHI: Legendary cricketer of India Kapil Dev says it’s every cricketer’s duty to cheer and support other sports “because other players spend the same amount of time as cricketers.”
“It feels great. In this country everyone feels that a cricketer gets everything. So it’s the duty of every cricketer like us to promote other sports. because other players spend the same time as cricketers but if you can’t make a living from golf then it feels unhappy. So I feel if we can bring more money into it and thank our sponsors if people like that come to us then we feel the next generation players have able to make a name for himself,” Kapil Dev told ANI.
Every player has a passion so I want more and more children to play. There needs to be an infrastructure for them, he added.
Talking about the infrastructure that other sports are provided with, Kapil Dev said, “The most important thing is that we should focus on our infrastructure. If a young player has a chance then there is only one opportunity. only he can become a player.I don’t want to say that baseball did the best but they provided a good infrastructure for every player. That’s why cricket has been excellent. I want to say that we are like PGTI should invest money in there to make small driving training ground where kids can show their talents because not only elite people can play this sport. Anyone can play and the more middle-class people playing it creates a new level of energy. ”
The Indian cricket legend says that young players should have passion to achieve their goals and they must prove themselves to the world that they have talent.
“My only message to young people is that you have to have passion to achieve something. One should play but there must be a goal behind that is I want to achieve something. You have to prove yourself. yourself and the world see that you have talent and they can recommend it. Enjoy yourself and if you can make a career out of it then why not,” he added.
Indian ticketing legend Kapil Dev on Monday announced the launch of a new annual golf tournament, affiliated with the Professional Golf Tournament of India (PGTI) – the official sanctioning body for men’s professional golf in India. India. The tournament is called Kapil Dev – Grant Thornton Invitational, presented by DLFwhere professionals will play alongside amateur golfers, businesses and celebrities.
