Sourav Ganguly is set to join Delhi Capitals as Cricket Director in the upcoming IPL release starting in April, sources close to the development have announced.
He will also oversee all of the franchise’s cricket industry alongside the ILT20 Dubai Capitals team and the SA T230 Pretoria Capitals league team.
“Yes, Sourav will return to Delhi Capitals from this year. Discussions and modalities are over,” an IPL source that tracks the development told PTI on condition of anonymity.
“He’s worked with the franchise, shares a good level of comfort with the owners, and if he’s working in the IPL, it’s always going to be with DC.”
Ganguly was a mentor of Delhi Capitals during his time in the franchise in 2019.
The former Indian captain recently resigned as BCCI chairman.
