The Finance Minister said that the whole world is reeling from the Covid pandemic and war, but the Indian economy is doing well despite the great challenges.

She said India has recovered admirably from all the challenges and the decisions of the Reserve Bank of India and the Center have helped stabilize the economy. Citing a Bloomberg report, she said that India has no chance of falling into a recession. She added: “India remains the fastest growing economy as assessed by global agencies.

FM Sitharaman says that despite the Covid-19 pandemic, the omicron virus and tensions with China at the border, the Center has managed to keep inflation at 7% or below that. “We will also reduce inflation further,” she added.
