‘I’m Rishabh Pant’: Cricket player wrapped in blanket tells rescuers after car crash | Videotapes
Indian hitter Rishabh Pant on December 30 had an accident on the Delhi-Dehradun highway near Roorkee after his car hit the median. He was seen with a bloody face shortly after the car crash.
According to Haridwar police, Pant, who was driving the car himself, was on his way home and was ‘dozing off at the wheel’.
According to a report by India today, bus driver Sushil was the first to reach and respond at the scene of the accident. Sushil said that Pant, who was seriously injured after the accident, confirmed his identity, saying he was Rishabh Pant. Then, Sushil rushes to the car and breaks the glass to rescue him.

Providing more details about the accident, Haridwar (Rural) SP SK Singh said: “He was going to Roorkee to see his relatives. The accident happened because he fell asleep at the wheel a kilometer away from Narsan. towards Roorkee.”
“Rishabh suffered two slashes on his forehead, ruptured ligaments in his right knee and also injured his wrist, ankle, right toe and scratched his back. His condition is stable and is now out. transferred to Max Hospital, Dehradun,” the BCCI statement said.
“He will undergo magnetic resonance imaging to determine the extent of his injury and develop further treatment. BCCI is in constant contact with Rishabh’s family while the Medical Team is in close contact with the doctors. currently treating Rishabh,” BCCI added.
While Delhi & District Cricket Association officials said that if requested, Pant will be delivered to Delhi in a day or two.
Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami wishes Pant a speedy recovery and the state will extend all possible assistance to him, including equipping an air ambulance if needed.
In addition to CM, teammate Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Pakistan speed driver Shaheen Shah Afridi, BCCI vice president Rajeev Shukla, Jay Shah and others wished Pant a speedy recovery.
