ICC T20 Rating: SKY remains at zero. 2; Bishnoi, Kuldeep progress

Surya Kumar Yadav, the top scorer in the recently concluded India-West Indies t20 series, continues to hold the 2nd place in the ICC men’s t20 standings.

Yadav scored 135 runs in 4 games with an average of 33.75 and strike rate of 168.75 in the series against the West Indies. However, he was rested in the final match, losing the chance to beat Pakistan’s Babar Azam. Yadav is currently the highest-ranked Indian on the batting list with 805 points, just 13 points behind Babar Azam.

Among the hitters, Shreyas Iyer also made progress jumping six places to rise to 19th with a total of 578 points, according to ICC website.

India’s bowlers were also rewarded for their performance against the West Indies in the bowlers rankings. Indian handwheel Ravi Bishnoi has made significant strides in the rankings as he jumped 50 places to rise to 44th place with 481 points.

His compatriots Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel also made significant strides in the rankings. Meanwhile, Indian tennis player Bhuvneshwar Kumar dropped one place and ranked 9th despite having a good run against the West Indies.

Australian tennis player Josh Hazlewood continues to top the rankings with 792 points, followed by South Africa’s Tabraiz Shamsi with 716 points.

Mohammad Nabi continues to top the comprehensive ranking, followed by Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan.

The ICC men’s t20 rankings were released on Wednesday.
