Hyundai reverts back to Musk for lauding its growth in EV space

Nearly a month after Tesla founder Elon Musk applauded South Korean automaker Hyundai for relatively higher sales of electric vehicles, Hyundai responded: “Thank you, Elon.”

US electric vehicle giant Tesla led the electric vehicle market in the country in the first quarters with a market share of 75.8%, followed by Hyundai’s 9%. Citing this new electric vehicle market entry, Musk congratulated and said “Hyundai is doing well”.

At the time, the Korean automaker did not respond to Musk’s tweet. Took a month and replied: “Thanks, Elon. Say ‘Hello’ to the newest member of #Hyundaifamily: #IONIQ6.” Hyundai also shared and images of the recently launched Ioniq6 electric car with the text on the image reading “Really good, Elon.”
