Hyundai N mid-engine supercar canceled


There is no question about whether Hyundai is developing a mid-engined supercar: That is.

“We’re working on an N supercar,” Biermann told the outlet.

Designed around a carbon fiber tubular chassis with a mid-engined layout, the car was created from the ground up to accept petrol or hybrid powertrains. A hydrogen fuel cell powertrain is also a possibility.

The RM19 is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged and direct-injection turbo-4 from the Hyundai TCR i30N race car and tuned to produce between 360 and 390 hp. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed direct-shift transmission.

Biermann said GHOST in 2019 The RM19’s chassis features a unique rear subframe for the feeder engine, along with a new double wishbone rear suspension. The CEO confirmed a production version of the mid-engined supercar will use the chassis.

According to Biermann, the final design of the car was not locked in 2019.
