BHUBANESWAR: Spain’s open-top tuk-tuk (auto rickshaw) driving adventure went terribly badly here on Wednesday, prompting national federation president and former referee Santiago Deo to their injured.

According to eyewitnesses, the auto-rickshaw carrying several Spanish players and officials, including Santiago, turned around in front of Gate 3 of Kalinga Stadium. Santiago fell while jumping from the car and injured his left knee in the process.
Officers on duty ran to Santiago and gave him first aid. Not many details are known.
Besides being the president of Real Federacion Espanola de Hockey, Santiago is also a renowned international referee, having run five Olympics between Moscow 1980 and Sydney 2000.
