High Street Essentials of India raises 40 cr from Stride Ventures



Indian fashion house High Street Essentials (HSE), the parent company behind womenswear brands Faballey and Indya, has raised 40 crore from Stride Ventures. The fashion house also announced Indya’s foray into the haute couture category, with a new line, Indya Luxe. The luxury line includes clothes suitable for occasions and festivals.

The line, which includes more than 100 sets of lehenga, sarees, anarkalis and sharara, is ready to hit the market within the next 4-6 months and will be the company’s main focus area for future product expansion. Indya Luxe will retail through the Indya website, major international markets and EBO.

Along with the construction of Indya Luxe, the new capital will be used to expand the company’s offline operations. Building on positive consumer sentiment after the third wave, HSE plans to double its offline presence by adding 30 more EBOs – a mix of company-owned stores and franchisees – and 100 stores at major stores within 12 to 18 months. This year will also mark the company’s offline expansion into the international market with its first physical store in Malaysia.

With a widespread domestic and international D2C arrival and a strong return to offline after the pandemic, the fashion house is now seeing an even split of revenue from the two channels.
