Gwent: Rogue Mage is a single-player Roguelike deck-building machine from CD Projekt Red and it’s out tomorrow
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt To be one of the most popular open world fantasy RPG ever produced for a number of reasons, including the card game in the universe, Gwent.
CD Projekt Red, the studio behind Wild Hunt and the 2020s Cyberpunk 2077created a game based on Gwent, aptly called Gwent: The Witcher Card Game, but it seems that the developer is not yet ready to leave the game in that universe. That’s because the studio is launching Gwent: Rogue Mage, a new single-player roguelike-style bunker game, tomorrow.
Published by IGNGwent: Rogue Mage is out tomorrow, July 7, on PC, iOS, and Android. IGN Report what this game is Project Golden Nekker, which the team revealed earlier this year, has become, and CD Projekt Red is marketing it as a single-player expansion for Gwent: The Witcher Card Game. However, you won’t need to own that as the Rogue Mage is standalone. You can buy the standalone version for $9.99, or the premium version, which includes in-game skins and cosmetics, as well as card packs for Gwent’s multiplayer, for $19.99 .
“Rogue Mage made us realize that many years after The Witcher 3 was released, there was a significant number of players wanting more of the PvE experience from Gwent,” said game director Vladimir Tortsov IGN. “While multiplayer Gwent is a great game for those looking for a great PvP multiplayer experience, we fully understand that many Witcher players love Gwent’s original mini-game for reasons completely different. With Rogue Mage, we aim to give audiences a reason to play modern-day Gwent in the format they like. ”
