Gearbox revives stories from the frontier and it will return this summer
It’s no surprise that Gearbox is a long way from making the Borderlands franchise post-release Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands and with the upcoming Borderlands movie in post-production. The company announced today a popular Borderlands spinoff will return this year with the return of Tales from the Borderlands.
In a tweet this afternoon from the official Borderlands Twitter account, it was revealed that Tales from the Borderlands would receive a second installment, and Gearbox only listed it and 2K Games as being attached to the project. The tweet reads: “There are more stories to discover in the Borderlands universe. A brand new Tales from the Borderlands adventure coming in 2022 from @GearboxOfficail and @2K. Stay tuned for updates. full press release this summer.” The message comes with a three-letter artwork under the Borderlands logo with a large moon shining in the background.
The previous developer for Tales of the Borderlands season one, Telltale Games, was not mentioned in the announcement, which makes sense since that company has taken on more publishing roles since it was shut down. and revived in the past few years. It is not yet known whether this new version of Tales from the Borderlands will continue with the characters in the first part or move on to other stories in the universe.
