Family uses DNA to identify loved one as last victim in deadly Windsor Hills crash
Roommates, we continue to hold those affected by the tragic accident at Windsor Hill raised in prayer. As previously reported, the incident left 6 people dead and 8 others injured. The last deceased victim has been identified by family members using DNA.
CBS LA reported, that the final victim of the fatal crash has been identified as 42-year-old Natiesha Lewis. During a press conference, her family shared that she was initially identified as Jane Doe because the impact of the collision made it very difficult to identify her body. DNA had to be used to confirm identity after the fatal crash.
Her sister, Jasmond Nelson said,
“My sister has children in mourning, that is unknown. It’s tragic. It’s hard to believe to be here to chat like this. My family is broken, we are very sad.”
Natiesha was in the car with her friend, Lynette Noble, 38, going to the mall when the collision caused by Nicole Linton occurred. Unfortunately, Natiesha and Lynette were two of the victims killed in the collision.
Jasmond went on to say, “My only sister is the only one that cannot be identified like the others. That’s why we’re here so late. My sister is Jane Doe because of what Nicole Linton did. And we just want for our sister. “
Like before Reportedly, Nicole Linton was charged with six counts of murder and five counts of vehicular manslaughter. She faces 90 years in prison if convicted. The Los Angeles District Attorney said she had no alcohol in her system at the time of the crash contrary to previous reports.
Linton was speeding in her Mercedes when the crash happened. Among the others killed were 23-year-old Asherey Ryan, her 11-month-old son Alonzo, her boyfriend Reynolds Lester and their unborn son.
