This year is set to be the biggest in recent memory, with just over 100 designers presenting IRL and online, including several Europeans. We’re taking to the streets to capture all the happenings in real time, and our editors are capturing content faster than you can say “runway”. Keep scrolling to see our roundup of every day’s highlights, from runway looks to Class A spectacles and anything and everything in between. Be sure to check back here as we continue to craft the best we’ve seen, rumored, eaten, etc.

Day One: Thursday, September 8

dior coffee

My caffeine intake usually doubles to get through fashion week. The first stop of the morning — a party to celebrate the launch of Dior’s new J’adore fragrance — is unrelated to the day’s shows, but still energizes me as I run around city with a very luxurious golden coffee.—Margaux Anbouba, Beauty Editor

saks caviar

Saks caused bumps at the annual NYFW party co-hosted by Chloë Bailey — that is, caviar. (You have to keep it classy.) Pair that creative app with its signature drink, L’Avenue Cosmopolitan, and James Charles and James Harden scenes, and you’ve got the perfect start to the mix. Chaos is fashion week.—Madison Rexroat, Fashion and Accessories Assistant

lu chen luchen New York fashion week

My first show of the season was up-and-coming designer Lu Chen, whose collection of surreal gowns and damn perfect utilitarian gowns matched its setting, right at the heart of Flatiron. Bringing fashion down the street takes on a whole new meaning!—Kevin LeBlanc, Fashion Contributor

recommend lionne

I won’t lie, I cried my eyes out last night at the Lionne show, when designer Latoia Fitzgerald’s boyfriend, professional basketball player Rajon Rondo, offer to her RIGHT in front of me at the end of the show. A truly unforgettable moment.—Jade Vallario, Market Editor

opening ceremony 20th anniversary design two decades

My main thoughts upon arriving at the Opening Ceremony 20th Anniversary party: What year is it? Held at Schimanski, an industrial warehouse nightclub in Brooklyn, the OC20 celebration is like a throwback in time to the early 2000s, when indie style was at its peak. Fit, Cobra, an unofficial documentary on Y2K’s nightlife, participated in the photo shoot. Bowen Yang and Ilana Glazer also joined the action.—Claire Stern, Associate Digital Editor

Dancing at Acme with The Attico is the absolute best way to end the night (and catch up on those steps).Sarah Zendejas, High-fashion Market Editor

Day 2: Friday, September 9

kim kardashian fendi

Jade Vallario

I was making my way through the crowds of tourists on 34th Street last night trying to get to the Fendi show on time, when suddenly everyone on the sidewalk stopped walking forward and started backing away. Men in black vests scream while a black SUV with tinted windows pulls up, none other than Kim Kardashian (in Fendi couture, of course). I almost broke my ankle from the shot, but it was worth it.—Jade Vallario, Market Editor

hair collina strada

Margaux Anbouba

I love going backstage at Collina Strada because designer Hillary Taymour knows the power of beauty. Case in point: She used Bella Hadid’s hairstylist, Evanie Frausto, to create 10-foot braids for multiple models. Each is hand-painted with an Aztec clay mask (yes, Amazon’s best seller). The result is pony girl and something you’ll see on Goop.—Margaux Anbouba, Beauty Editor

hal baddie kate spade

Hal Baddie

Quickly register the doll! Here, we’re practicing our best NYFW behavior with Devin Halbal, aka HalBaddie, at Kate Spade’s spring/summer 2023 rollout. Classic selfie? A bad guy but a good guy.—Madison Rexroat, Fashion and Accessories Assistant

Kevin LeBlanc

Terrence Zhou of Bad Binch TongTong gave us a gig instead of a runway. The dancer acrobats and soars in sculptures, despite his body (literally) being made to move. Two dancing sunbeams created from what looks like flowers in the pool encapsulate his goofy yet sexy ethos.—Kevin LeBlanc, Fashion Contributor

simon mill

Rosie Jarman

Friday is fresh, from real grass at Kate Spade to food sculptures at Simon Miller (pictured above) plus J.Law scenes (in bright green shoes!) and a bag broccoli at Collina Strada. Apparently it’s all about buying your veggies this season.—Rosie Jarman, Assistant Fashion Editor

harwell godfrey necklace

The cocktail party of Harwell Godfrey and De Beers Group at Temple Bar was so luxurious and intimate that I forgot I was going to see a Fendi show. I mean, just look here Charity heart pendant has an ethically sourced natural diamond from De Beers. Support one hundred percent of the proceeds Everytown on Gun Safety; Designer Lauren Harwell Godfrey told me she’s raised $250,000 and hopes to reach a million. Try for it.-Claire Stern, Deputy Digital Editor
