ESPL extends relationship with brand ambassador Tiger Shroff for Season 2


New Delhi: The English Premier League (ESPL) will continue to associate actor Tiger Shroff as the face of the tournament for the second year in a row.

“Tiger Shroff played a key role in making it a household name in its first season. His popularity and fan following among youth and millennial audiences have helped us attract and influence gamers across the country. His star power also helped propel e-sports to popularity. I am confident that his close connection with the audience will greatly help us in achieving our goal of revolutionizing the Indian e-sports ecosystem,” said tournament director Vishwalok Nath.

Shroff’s association is expected to strengthen the league’s position. In the last season, his cheerleading video for e-sports athletes has racked up about a million views on social media platform YouTube, Nath added.

The actor said, “E-sports has seen explosive growth across the country. It’s a great platform for e-sports athletes to showcase their talents on the national stage. I am delighted to be a part of this commitment to growing the eSports industry while encouraging eSports players and the gaming community. “

The tournament already has Chinese-owned smartphone maker Tecno Mobile as sponsor and streaming platform Loco as digital broadcast partner for this season. . The second version of ESPL started on June 15.

According to an EY report, the e-sports industry is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 46%. 11 billion by 2025.
