Emoji Status, Infinite React and 4 more features coming to Telegram

Telegram has announced a bunch of new features for its users. The social messaging app is getting features like Status emojis, Infinite Reaction, improved login process and more. Some of these features are available to all users, while some are only available to Premium members. Here is an overview of all the features coming to Telegram

Emoji status

Telegram Paid users will now be able to add animated emoji statuses on the app. This custom status will replace the Special Premium Badge in chat lists, in profiles, and in groups. Premium users will be able to choose from seven standard statuses that change their color to match different Telegram themes – or choose from a multitude of custom emojis.

This feature is available to Premium users starting today. To set an emoji status, tap the Special icon at the top of your chat list or go to Settings to change the status. Long press an emoji to set the status for a specific amount of time.

Infinite Reaction

The company redesigned the responsive dashboard, making it extensible. The app will also display the reactions that users frequently use at the top. Telegram Premium users can choose to react from a multitude of custom emojis. User can attach up to 3 reactions per message. These changes to reactions are now available in group chats and one-on-one chats. Group admins can control whether custom reactions can be used in their groups.

Improved login process

Telegram will now send login codes via email address to users who log out and log in regularly. Users can also Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. The company has also added a new look and fun animations to the Telegram iOS app.

New Username Link

All usernames on Telegram have their own t.me/username link, making it easy to share a profile, group or public channel anywhere on the internet. Every username will now have a new unique link format – username.t.me – for those who want to emphasize their name (or have trouble finding the key /).

Priority download on Android

Telegram users will now be able to long press on any item in the list to reorder them and change their priority – download the top file first.

The feature is already on iOS and is now coming to Android users.

Android Goodies

Telegram has also added new smooth animations for opening, closing and changing media on Android. Users of Android 13 and up can choose a Telegram themed icon that will automatically match their phone’s dark mode settings and accent color.
