• Why it’s worth your attention: I’ve reviewed dozens of gaming laptops over the past few years, and the Dell G15 is the first one in a long time that gets me really excited.
Of the many laptops scattered across Dell’s pre-CES event space in New York City, the G15 is the one most people are clamoring to get their hands on. The entire G-series lineup features Dell’s take on classic arcade video games — including pinball machines and Street Fighter — creating the perfect backdrop for a full set of gaming laptops. this new color.
I was immediately drawn to the Pop Purple version of the G15, which gives it a seriously ’80s mall feel with a beautiful blend of purple and sky blue. Dell’s new gaming laptops feature all-new 13th Gen Intel Core processors (up to the super-fast i9) and the latest Nvidia GeForce RTX graphics. You’ll get a 15-inch 1080p display with up to 165Hz refresh rates — smooth enough for basic competitive gaming — and up to 32GB of memory plus up to 2TB of storage.
The G15 also includes a wide selection of ports, including three USB-A connections (perfect for mouse, keyboard or headphone), USB-C port, HDMI input, and headphone jack. And like all of Dell’s latest gaming PCs, the G series is equipped with the Alienware Command Center to fine-tune everything from RGB lighting to game-specific settings.

The G Series has always delivered great gaming performance for the money, but now it’s also one of the best-seeing gaming laptop — and one that would make a refreshing alternative to too stiff (or too bland) competition.
