DaVinci Resolve is now available on iPad; Download from the App Store: Details
DaVinci Resolve, the video editing app, is now available for iPad on the App Store. DaVinci Resolve is a popular professional video editing and color correction application designed by Blackmagic. The company previously announced in October 2022 that the app would be available for the iPad, which is now available on the App Store. It is optimized for MultiTouch and Apple Pencil technology. It features support for color and crop pages, color finishing tools, and the latest HDR workflows. iPad users can download DaVinci Resolve for free.
Blackmagic announced the availability of the DaVinci Resolve app on iPad via Twitter handling. The app will deliver up to 4x faster Ultra HD ProRes rendering on the new iPad Pro with M2. DaVinci Resolve for iPad offers the same functionality and tools as DaVinci Resolve 18 for the desktop. However, it only has minor changes in the user interface.
Although DaVinci Resolve for iPad is available Free on the App Store, users can access DaVinci Studio with an in-app purchase that costs $95 (nearly Rs 7,900). Users will have access to Blackmagic Cloud multi-user collaboration, AI-based magic masking, voice isolation, dialogue equalization etc. It is optimized with Crop page for editing and coloring page for 12.9 inch screen. iPadPro display.
According to a previous Blackmagic blog post, DaVinci Resolve on iPad will improve Ultra HD ProRes rendering performance by 4x with the M2 chipset. In addition, it supports Apple Neural Engine features, multi-user collaboration through Blackmagic Cloud, and more. File formats supported on the app include H.264, H.265, Apple ProRes, and Blackmagic RAW.
The app allows users to edit videos from iPad storage, Photos and iCloud libraries, as well as external USB type-C drives. Furthermore, it also works with Apple Pencil, Magic Trackpad, Magic Keyboard and Smart Keyboard Folio. The app is compatible with iPadOS 16 and up. It also supports HDR on iPad Pro M1 or newer models while older iPad models will have HD support as well as limited memory.
