Dakota Johnson’s Madame web release date has been postponed
Sony has managed to secure an excellent cast and direction for their upcoming Madame Web project based on the Spider-Man comic. Madame Web is a spider-man character commonly known as an instructor or mentor to several spider-man-themed superheroes. For the role of Madame Web, sony secured 50 shades of actress Dakota Johnson in Grey. Taking on the role of director for the film is SJ Clarkson. Other actors who have been confirmed without disclosing their roles include Euphoria’s Sydney Sweeney, Emma Roberts, Isabela Merced, Celeste O’Connor, Tahar Rahim, Mike Epps and Adam Scott.
But while the film’s cast and director are promising, the character is still largely unknown, and releasing the film against summer blockbusters won’t be the wisest strategy. and that’s why Sony has revisited its original release date of July 11, 2023. With this date, the movie will go up against the likes of Indiana Jones 5, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1, Oppenheimer, Barbie and The Marvels. All the movies have a lot of hype that follows them and all contain important figures in popular culture. Keeping this in mind, Sony has decided to revise the film’s release date to October 7, 2023. This gives Sony another 3 months to work on the project which begins shooting on July 11 only. one week ago. Although the film’s cast has been announced and created a lot of hype, very little is known about the actual plot of the film or the direction Sony is going in.
Madame Web’s character is generally a very magical guide and not one that likes to move around a lot so it’s hard to say whether the movie is an action movie or not.
However, opening in October could be lucky for Sony as both their Venom movies are released in the same month and both movies have very good results with audiences.
More details on Madame Web’s plot will likely be revealed as filming continues.
