Sometimes when we talk about a trend as having “come back,” our readers may disagree and say it never really went away. Indeed, it is a very valid argument because fashion emerges and continues to evolve. And no, we don’t take it personally when you have a different opinion, because that’s the beauty of fashion: People see it differently.
The so-called “naked shoe” trend with clear plastic elements (aka PVC or vinyl) would certainly fit into this category. We covered this trend around 2018, and then Last year we saw celebrities wearing them again. While I’d say PVC has the look to make a comeback in 2022, others may argue that it has stabilized throughout the years. Either way, Dakota Johnson is about to make you want to try a pair.
