Heavy attack is just a tidbit and we can’t show you more from the update! pic.twitter.com/FWFW7sC7F0

The biggest change they introduced in this theme is the introduction of heavy attacks, which can be triggered by holding down the attack button. These aren’t just slow spins that deal more damage; In Cult of the Lamb, every heavy attack has its own effect. For example, the sword’s heavy attack slams into the ground, causing an explosion of damage that damages any enemies within its range. Meanwhile, daggers create a slash from the sky, and axes can be thrown around like boomerangs. This is just the tip of the iceberg; Developer Massive Monster says this is “just a little tidbit” of what’s to come in the future.
The update will come soon, but not soon. The last tweet of the thread clarifies that the developers are currently working on a patch to fix some console bugs and that the major update won’t be released until then. Their release date is also no more specific than “2023”, so it could launch any time this year.
