Massive Monster, the Australian studio behind the massive success of the indie game Cult of the Lamb, has been working hard to update, patch and improve the quality of life for the game since its release in 2014. 2022.
Earlier this week, they release an update that made some changes to the game, allowing players to perform mass blessings, automatically cook and fish, and rename their cult. Back in December they introduced a “free”main content update” in early 2023 — and we’ve finally looked at what it entails.
The update, called Relics of the Old Faith, will include a ton of new features and content for the game when it launches in early 2023. Among the promised changes are:
- fight deeper
- Better replayability
- New end game content
- new dungeon
- New combat moves (including heavy attacks)
- New Enemy
- More accessibility settings
Massive Monster also announced a roadmap, showing their plans for next content expansion after Relics of the Old Faith, which will include “focus on cult depth”, new story elements, more customization, and even than accessibility settings. The second wave of content will launch in mid-2023.
