New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said Monday during a speech at the China Business Summit in Auckland that the last held border opening was a very important moment.
“It’s been an organized and prudent process on our part since February as we, along with the rest of the world, continue to manage an ongoing global pandemic, while keeping people safe. Our people are safe.”
International students have made a significant contribution to New Zealand’s economy and education providers are hoping the reopening of borders will once again give a boost to schools and universities around the country. country.
New Zealand Tourism Minister Stuart Nash said the return of cruise ships would also be a boost for local industries.
“Most cruise visits take place during the warmer months of October to April, and summer is our prime tourist season,” says Nash.
