Congress president’s candidates list widens, senior leaders express their wish

When Parliament kicked off the process of electing a new leader on September 22, the names of senior leaders such as Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and former Union Minister Shashi Tharoor appeared on the list to lead the old party.

This is probably the first time in the party’s first election in more than 20 years that any Gandhi did not become the default choice for the presidency.

“Everybody has the right to take the test… You will know the answer by the evening of the 30th,” added Singh.

According to the details, interested National Assembly leaders can apply for the post of party chairman until September 30. If there is a situation that the election takes place on October 17 and the results will be announced later. that’s 2 days.
