Chris Brown apologizes for hitting Robert Glasper
Chris Brown recently took the hot seat on Twitter, and it was all because he threw a ball at musician Robert Glasper through his Instagram Story. However, it looks like Breezy is trying to make amends, as he apologized for his initial reaction.
Chris on his Instagram talk: ‘Who is this?’
The situation comes on Sunday — the day of the 2023 Grammy Awards — after Robert Glasper won Best R&B Album for Black Radio III.
Shortly after Robert’s win, Breezy shared several now-deleted posts to his IG Story. Specifically, Chris is asking the question “Who the fuck is Robert Glasper”. He also appeared to mask Robert’s sound, as Breezy said — in order for him to compete with Glasper — he “had to get [his] improve your skills” by learning how to play the harmonica.
At this point, it’s important to shed more light on Robert Glasper’s musical contributions to emphasize the impact of Chris Brown not knowing him.
Los Angeles The magazine describes Glasper as a “pioneering jazz pianist” who has had “an indelible impact on the music industry” with his contributions “across the genre” over the years. We should also add that his recent win is his fifth Grammy, so he’s certainly no stranger to being honored for his work.
As a result, one person on Twitter announced that “Their apprentice R&B + Hip-Hop musicians know [who] Glasper is.”
Robert Glasper’s Black Radio project was released in 2002 and also ushered in a new genre, combining jazz, hip-hop, funk, r&b, other sampling techniques, heavyweight celebrities of a little thing called NEOSOUL. Twitter Reaches Chris Brown
After Chris admitted that he was completely unfamiliar with Robert Glasper, numerous Twitter users joined in and shared their reactions to the mess.
I’m a Chris Brown fan… but he was an asshole because of the story IG threw the ball at Robert Glasper.

Many have pointed out that, given Chris Brown’s musical output, his unfamiliarity with Glasper “makes sense.”
Chris Brown doesn’t know who Robert Glasper is… that’s why all Chris Brown’s songs sound the same

“I’ve never even heard of this guy 😂😂😂”
Yes man, we know. We hear it all in kazoos on the rhythms you’re dancing to

Robert Glasper can help Chris Brown finally create a song unlike 2013. https://t.co/qbwvB13rzD

It makes sense for Chris Brown not to know who Robert Glasper is. He made the same album 3 times in a row

However, one user went against it and accused people of “pretending to know who Robert Glasper is in the crowd” because they don’t like Breezy.
Twitter hates Chris Brown so much that they pretend to know who Robert Glasper is in front of the crowd, my son is crying 😂 https://t.co/rZsVNQrQ3j

However, many feel that Breezy, as an R&B star, should be familiar with Glasper.
This is such a stupid loss. If you have any ties to the Black music industry, you know who Robert Glasper is. YOU don’t know, is one thing, but Chris Brown not knowing is ridiculous. https://t.co/HZ21HioT24

The fact that Chris Brown was trying to be shady to Robert Glasper wasn’t funny at all. Robert has been one of Hip Hop’s most talented musicians for over a decade now. Black Radio 3 is a GREAT album. Put some respect on his name.

Breezy apologizes to Robert Glasper: ‘You’re not the intended target’
On Monday, Chris Brown finally changed his tune and slipped into Glasper’s DM to issue an apology.
Breezy first congratulated Robert before apologizing “if [he] offended the situation. He also clarified that Robert was “not the intended target”, although Breezy still admitted that he was “really rude and mean” with his reaction.
Chris went on to praise Glasper’s work before stating that they shouldn’t be in the same category, as they create “two different styles and genres”. He also said, “The ORGANIZATION DOES NOT TAKE OUR Sincerity.”
In the end, Breezy wished Robert well and continued to push for it.
What do you think about Chris Brown’s apology for his comments about Robert Glasper? Also, do you think Chris, as a professional artist, should be familiar with Robert?
