If you answered “yes” to both of those questions (oh, even just one), then you’ll definitely want to follow The Last Beliefa Souls-like Metroidvania (or ‘soulvania’, according to the publisher) will be ported to Switch later in 2022.
From developer Kumi Souls Games, The Last Faith introduces stunning pixel art along with challenging gameplay that clearly pays homage to Konami’s fame. Castlevania series. You’ll navigate winding paths filled with deadly beasts before coming face-to-face with massive boss creatures that will require you to make the most of your varied weaponry.
The game started out as a Kickstarter project, raising a staggering 466% from its original goal. Kumi Souls itself is a London-based studio that operates semi-remotely with its development co-opted across Europe.

With beautiful pixel art depicting a majestic gothic landscape, as well as ferocious monsters lurking in its shadows, The Last Faith offers a brutal yet powerful gameplay. It got the nickname ‘soulvania’ by combining a unique combination of metroidvania and soul elements into a one-of-a-kind powerful punch.
With a rock-solid foundation of nonlinear exploration, players will uncover a vast array of tools of destruction as they traverse snow-capped mountains, dark deep forests, bunkers and castles. moonlit streets – all meticulously hand-painted by brilliant artists who have captured the imaginations of thousands of fans on Kickstarter.
Often brutal, but always strong, The Last Faith thrives on ruthless and precise combat, with a host of custom actions to take. Players will unearth a variety of melee weapons, mysterious spells, and ranged guns, allowing them to forge a path of their own.
Enter the ravaged world of The Last Faith as Eric, awakening with no recollection of his immediate past. He will soon discover he is in a race against time as his mind and conscience begin to deteriorate in front of him.
