Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva is coming to Disney + Hotstar. In an Instagram post, director Ayan Mukherji confirmed that his Hindi-language fantasy adventure film will be available to stream on the platform, starting November 4. Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, the film is the first in a tentative trilogy, and explores various Hindu myths in a modern setting. Brahmāstra is led under the French banner produced by Karan Johar and aims to launch India’s own cinematic universe, ‘The Astraverse.’
The fact that Mukherji shared the update a day before Diwalisince his movie Brahmāstra, placed in the middle of the festival of lights. The Brahmāstra plot follows Shiva (Kapoor), a young DJ who harnesses an uncanny connection to the elemental powers of fire. His whole life was turned upside down when Guru Arvind (Amitabh Bachchan), a stranger from afar, seeks help to obtain the standard weapon/astra – capable of destroying the entire universe.

Brahmāstra is open to mixed critical reception, earning Rs. 320 crore in India and Rs. 111 crore overseas, for a total of Rs worldwide. 431 crore. The film also has the participation of Bhatt like Isha, Shiva’s love comes; Mouni Roy as Junoon’s Dark Queen; Nagarjuna as Anish, a member of Brahmānsh; and Shah Rukh Khan in a cameo role.
