Blue Jays sign midfielder Jackie Bradley Jr.
TORONTO – Events Toronto Blue Jays signed quarterback Jackie Bradley Jr. a year at the big league.
The 32-year-old was released by Boston on Thursday. He averages 0.210 with 19 doubles, one triple, three home runs and 29 attempts in 92 games this season.
The left-hander left-winger was named an all-star in 2016, when he hit career heights with 149 shots, 26 own own goals and 87 RBIs.

He helped Boston win the 2018 World Series and was named the MVP of that year’s American League Championship Series with 3 RBIs out of 9 in a 4-1 win over Houston.
The Richmond, Va. native, is in his 10th major league season and has a career average of 0.28 with 329 base hits in 1,099 games against Boston and Milwaukee.
The Blue Jays also selected midfielder Otto Lopez for Triple-A Buffalo and assigned right-handed pitcher Matt Peacock on duty.
The Blue Jays announced the moves ahead of their game against the Orioles on Tuesday night in Baltimore.
