The family of a woman killed after a subway pole under construction collapsed in Bengaluru on Tuesday, has recalled the terrifying moment on camera.

Lohit, the husband of the woman killed in the incident, said he had lost everything. Expressing grief over the accident, he called on the government to ensure such incidents do not happen again.
Recounting the incident, the husband said: “We rode two-wheeled motorbikes. I should have dropped them off to a safe place and then left. But this incident happened in a split second. When I look back, , my wife and children have fallen. I have nothing in my hand.”
He asked the government to take safety measures and precautions to prevent any such incidents from happening in the future.
“What should I say to the government, I have lost everything. The government should just make sure that such incidents do not happen in the future. All precautions and safety measures should be taken so that these other people don’t have to face this situation,” he said. .
The victim’s father, Madan Kumar, requested the construction work be canceled and said he would not receive his daughter’s body until the contract was not cancelled.
“Until the contractor’s permit is not revoked, I won’t take the body. Who allowed them to build such tall pillars? Tender should be canceled and work stopped. I’ll see.” what will be done in court,” he said.
Nirmala, the deceased’s mother-in-law, said: “She came to Bangalore 10 days ago from Davanagere. She took her children to school. The incident happened around 10:30 am. We are very angry. About the incident. In this case, we want justice. No senior officials came to the scene.”
Vijayakumar, the father-in-law of the woman who died in the incident, accused the contractor in charge of building the Metro pole in Bengaluru, where the collapse of the metro pole was under construction that claimed the lives of two people, of failing to carry out the necessary measures. safety measures. .
Speaking to ANI, Mr. Vijayakumar, the father-in-law of the woman killed in the incident, demanded that the construction work be stopped immediately.

Meanwhile, Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Tuesday announced a sum of Rs 10 lakh to the relatives of those who died in the Bengaluru metro pole accident that claimed two lives.
Bommai told reporters that he was looking for details about the incident.
“It is a most unfortunate incident. Instructions have been put in place to require an investigation to find any contractor errors or other reasons. The family of the deceased will be given a an amount of Rs 10 lakh will be given,” he said.
