Apple Music, TV + Price Raised In US, UK, Other Countries, But Not In India

Apple has raised the prices of several of its subscription services including Apple Music and popular Apple TV+ around the world, including in the US and UK. However, users in India won’t have to spend more than they currently are. According to Apple, these changes are necessary because of increased license prices and the overall size of its content categories. A statement by Apple has been Reported by 9to5mac.comand shows that artists and content creators could earn more per stream as a result of this change. The company recently announced that Apple Music has accumulated more than 100 million tracks available for streaming.

In India, Apple Music will continue to be priced at Rs. 99 per month for individual users and Rs. 149 for a family of up to six members. Student level costs Rs. 59 per month if you can show valid identification and voice-only package which only lets you stream music and radio stations curated with Siri voice commands, priced at Rs. 49 per month. The price of the individual user plan in the US used to be $9.99 per month (about Rs 825) but now it costs $10.99 (about Rs 908). The family plan has increased from $14.99 to $16.99 per month.

Apple TV+ also cost Rs. 99 per month in India after a seven-day free trial, while the US price is currently $6.99 (approximately Rs. 578), up from $4.99 (approximately Rs. 412) per month. Anyone who buys an iPhone, iPad, or Mac will still get the first three months free. Students who qualify for a discounted Apple Music plan can also access Apple TV+ for free.

The scale is the same in the UK, for example, where the price of Apple Music has gone from 9.99 GBP (about Rs 937) and 14.99 GPB for the personal and family plan to GBP 10.99 (about Rs 1,031.) and 16.99 GBP respectively. The price of the voice-only plan and the student plan has not changed. Apple TV+ is currently priced at GBP 6.99 per month (about Rs 656), up from GBP 4.99 (about Rs 469).

The Apple One family plan is priced at Rs. 365 per month in India and allow access to all of these services for up to six people, plus 200GB of iCloud storage in total. In the US, Apple One starts at $14.95 (about Rs 1,238) per month for a single user and $19.95 per month for the family plan, with similar benefits. These costs have increased to $16.95 per month and $22.95 per month, respectively. The Premier plan, which increases iCloud storage to 2TB and adds access to Apple News+ and Apple Fitness+, is currently unavailable in India.

iCloud+, which offers users online storage space for their backup and photo library, and privacy features, costs Rs. 75 per month for 50GB, Rs. 219 per month for 200GB and Rs. 749 per month for 2TB.
