A shocking video of an orangutan reaching out and tugging at a man’s shirt has gone viral online. The incident took place at Kasang Kulim Zoo, Indonesia and made netizens extremely angry.
In the video, a man (later identified as Hasan Arifin) is seen approaching the encirclement of an orangutan named Tina. The disgruntled ape can be seen reaching out and tugging at the man’s shirt. Orangutans are known to be extremely docile animals and that’s why the video shocked people.

With more than 12 million views, the video has sparked a heated debate among netizens on Twitter about the horrible living conditions in the zoo. According to local news reports, Hasan Arifin intentionally crossed the fence installed around the cage to take a video with the orangutans.

Zoo authorities shared the video on their Instagram profile to shed more light on the unfortunate incident. In the clip, one of the zookeepers can be seen hanging a warning sign in front of the orangutan’s cage.
