Bharti Airtel, a telecom giant, has launched its 5G Plus services in Pune, Maharashtra. This means that citizens of Pune will now be able to access Airtel’s 5G services without any additional fees. The company is rolling out its 5G NSA (non-standalone) network across the country, and so it’s expected to be fast due to its 4G infrastructure.
According to telecommunications, some areas have received Viettel 5G+ services are Koregaon Park, Kalyani Nagar, Baner, Hinjewadi, Magarpatta, Hadapsar, Kharadi, Model Colony, Swargate, Pimpri-Chinchwad and some others. In fact, many regions in Pune will receive the company’s 5G service in phases, Airtel said.
George Mathen, CEO, Bharti Airtel, Maharashtra and Goa, said: “I am delighted to announce the launch of Airtel 5G Plus at Pune. Now, Airtel customers can experience blazing fast networks and enjoy speeds up to 20-30 times faster than current 4G speeds. We are in the process of lighting up an entire city, which will allow customers to enjoy ultra-fast access to high definition video streaming, gaming, multiplayer chat, photo uploads, and more. i.e. and more.”
Again, telecom service provider Bharti Airtel recently said it has rolled out 5G Plus service at Varanasi’s Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport.
Airtel has also rolled out its 5G Plus service at two other airports including the new Garden terminal in Bengaluru and Pune.
“All 5G smartphone owners will enjoy the high speeds of Airtel 5G Plus on top of their existing data plans. There is no need to change SIM because Airtel’s 4G SIM now supports 5G,” the company said.
Airtel has started rolling out its 5G Plus service in a tiered manner across Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Siliguri, Nagpur, Varanasi, Panipat and Gurugram.
Varanasi is one of the first eight cities in the country to have Airtel 5G Plus service. These services are available at Benaras Hindu University (BHU), Ghatt Road, Adampur, Beniya Bagh Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Rajghat, Sarnath, Sigra, Thateri Bazaar and several other places in the city.
