Manish Sisodia was raided by the CBI and charged after the Lieutenant Colonel Governor of Delhi ordered an investigation into the New Special Consumption Policy in July. That same month, the government of Arvind Kejriwal withdrew a policy that had been in effect since November last year and brought in private companies into the alcohol trade. The AAP says the policy is intended to increase revenue “but is directed by the central government of the BJP use Central Governor“.

He said the “stinging” video was made public and was not recorded by the BJP.

Manish Sisodia said in a press conference about an hour later: “The raids on my house and the bank lockers found nothing. I urge the CBI to investigate thoroughly.” He initially talked about the inefficiencies of the BJP-run city bodies in Delhi, but then questioned.

He repeated accusations that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was “using central authorities to try and intimidate opposition parties”. “We have nothing to hide.”
