Actor Jeremy Renner said he broke more than 30 bones in a snow removal accident on New Year’s Day.
Renner, 52, previously said that he recovery at home from what Nevada authorities say was a serious chest wound he suffered when he was run over by his snowman Pistenbully while helping free up a loved one’s car on a private road near Lake Tahoe.
In social media posts on Saturday, Renner expressed “lots of love and appreciation” for everyone for their “messages and thoughtfulness”.
“Over 30 of these broken bones will heal, get stronger, just as the love and bond with family and friends deepens,” he wrote.
He also wrote “morning exercises, resolutions all changed these special new years.. Born out of tragedy for my whole family and quickly focused on uniting love that can be. actionable.”
The two-time Oscar nominee also plays Hawkeye in Marvel’s Avengers film and had a recurring role in Mission Impossible Franchising.
