Weighing just 64 pounds, 9-year-old Sufina Grajo from Cumberland, Rhode Island, may not look intimidating, but when you watch her fight, you can see how she ranks among the best in the world. any. “I’m doing pretty well,” Grajo said. “I’m number 15, 18 and under, all over the world.” Grajo started learning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu two years ago and quickly won after winning over girls and boys. “She played really well,” said Jair Morselli, owner of Taunton’s Brazil Top Team. “I think in the most recent tournament she won our games. The Rhode Islander girl is training at the Brazilian Top Team in Taunton, and has set her sights on entering the international competition in Florida this July.” I’m really excited about that, because last time I took third place, then the last time I got second, now I’m trying to win gold,” said Grajo.
