2022 Mercedes-AMG SL 55 has a starting price of 138,450 USD
Ten months later Mercedes reveals new AMG SL Class and seven months after we drove it, the German shared how much buyers will have to pay to enjoy the return of the doctor’s favorite tanning booth. In addition to the conveniences that come with the SL 55, the SL 63 comes standard with enhanced video for navigation, AMG Track Pace app, AMG Dynamic Plus Package with electronic limited-slip differential and yellow brake The SL 55’s steel calipers and suspension swaps for the AMG Active Ride Control adapt to ride stability.
Performance Trim upgrade required to get more content, package details depend on model; two of its three features – Active Ride Control and Dynamic Plus – are standard on the SL 63. The only benefit we see at the moment is the front-axle lift, which really makes this a go-to. Performance trim for the SL 55 alone and more in a convenient package for the SL 63. Mercedes Pricing for the Performance Trim has yet to be announced.
The SL pause and reset put the roadster a way up the MSRP ladder compared to previous models, and AMG GT Roadster, land the new one mid-competition before similar options are considered. Previously not AMG SL 550 priced at $115,800 for 449 hp and 516 lb-ft, about $23,000 less than the refurbished SL 55. The 2019 SL 63 starts at $155,500 for a 5.5-liter V8 making 577 hp and 664 lb-ft., a shortfall of about $24,000 over the new SL 63. 2022 M8 Can be converted makes 617 horsepower, takes 3.1 seconds to hit 60, and starts at $144,695. The 2022 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet uses 572 horsepower to hit 60 mph in 2.8 seconds and has a starting price of $197,150.
